The hotel was located in a peaceful area, close to major attractions. the breakfast menu was diverse and delicious, especially the fresh coffee. the staff members were friendly and helpful whenever we needed something.
The hotel lacked proper signage and was difficult to find. the room itself was old-fashioned and not very comfortable.

Free wifi. Good breakfast (although very far from my room). 2 restaurants,1 more fancy, very expensive and pretentious and a pizzeria (my favourite) with very good food, cheap prices and service... More easygoing.
There are two different areas, my room was in the old building (outside the closed area where is the pool, the golf, I.e the nice part) and it was decorated in old style, claiming for some renovation. If you're looking for holidays in Tuscany, look for another place, there are much nicer places around (for about the same prices). If (like me) you really need to go to Calcinaia, I don't think you'll find better than this closer than Pisa.

do not stay there on Friday and weekends - the noise from the disco is awful!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious and comfortable hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff who were always ready to assist with a pleasant smile. The Imperial Suite I booked was perfect for my family of four, with spacious bedrooms, a cozy sitting room, and a fully equipped kitchen. It truly felt like staying in a private mansion with the tastefully placed memorabilia scattered throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet served on the terrace was a delightful way to start the day, and the outdoor pool area, just a short walk away, provided endless fun for my children with its waterslide and dive boards.
Finding the hotel was a bit challenging due to insufficient directions, but once you locate it, the secure entrance and spacious parking area provide peace of mind. The hotel is located in what initially appears to be an industrial area, but once you step inside, you're surrounded by the serene countryside.

Teh quietness (except on nights when disco was blaring out). There was no noise from traffic.
The fgact that there was a disco within the complex, did not fit in with the quiet location.

We were not happy at all. We were put in the old building facing the industrial road. Carpet and air-conditioning vent were dirty. We got in late at night and left early the next day. It was so bad we stayed to pay at another hotel in addition to having to pay to stay there for the next three nights. We told them we were not happy and they did nothing about it.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Calcinaia. The staff were lovely and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my visit. The hotel itself is a beautiful, authentically Tuscan building with all the amenities I needed, including internet access for my 15-year-old. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a stressful work environment. The location is also great, with easy access to the Fi-Pi-Li road and central for trips to Pisa, Florence, Siena, and the seaside. The hotel facilities were excellent, including large rooms and a nice pool. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the parking was convenient, with partly shaded spaces. it was a superb experience, and I definitely plan on returning in the future.
All was perfect.
